Come As You Are: The Heart of WTC

Someone asked me recently, “Who’s allowed to come to Wisdom Tree Collective gatherings?”

The answer? Everyone.

One of the challenges of building something meant to cultivate deep community and meaningful connection is the subtle formation of an “in-group” and “out-group.” Even with the best intentions, communities that want to be open can unintentionally leave those on the outside wondering where they fit.

At WTC, our mission is to help people pay attention to the healing, guiding love of the Divine available through all of Creation—including themselves—and to connect this Wisdom to their daily lives. We believe this wisdom isn’t reserved for a select few; it is collective, arising at all times, in all places, and through all people and traditions.

We are about creating horseshoes, not circles.

Glennon Doyle writes about the importance of forming horseshoes instead of circles, and I’ve never forgotten it:
“Also, horseshoes are better than circles. Leave space. Always leave space. Horseshoes of friends > circle of friends. Life can be lonely—stand in horseshoes.”

At Wisdom Tree, we stand in horseshoes. We want to be intentional about inviting others in and making it clear that you are welcome here. Whether you are seeking personal healing, hoping to join a community prayer circle, or interested in our certificate program to companion others on their spiritual journeys, there is a place for you.

Our community is rooted in a contemplative, wisdom-based, and trauma-informed approach that honors the diverse spiritual languages and lived experiences of each person. We don’t want to be a closed loop of like-minded people; we want to be a spacious, inclusive community where anyone longing for deep growth can encounter Divine Love and their own authentic self.

So, if you’ve been wondering whether there’s a place for you at the table—or in the horseshoe—the answer is a resounding yes.

Come as you are, and let’s listen for Wisdom together.
